We fully understand that you would like to share special moments during your pregnancy – such as your baby’s first heartbeat or ultrasound scans – with your partner or a close friend or relative. We wholeheartedly welcome this wish.
To ensure a calm and pleasant atmosphere for all expectant mothers, we have the following policy:
One accompanying person is most welcome at the following appointments:
Please note: Only one accompanying person may attend at any one time – either the expectant father, a close family member or a friend.
For all other routine antenatal appointments, we ask for your understanding that accompanying persons are not permitted. Our practice looks after a large number of pregnant women and has limited space. With this policy, we aim to maintain a calm, safe and pleasant environment for all patients.
Unfortunately, we cannot allow children into the consultation rooms, as we are unable to provide childcare facilities and, for organisational and insurance reasons, children are not permitted in the consultation rooms.
If no accompanying person is required for an appointment, they are welcome to wait in the waiting area or corridor outside the practice premises.
Thank you very much for your understanding and support. In this way, you are helping us to provide the best possible care for you and all other pregnant women.
